Classic Game Room reviews ART OF FIGHTING for Sega Mega Drive from 1993, based on the popular SNK Neo Geo fighting game from 1992. Art of Fighting is also on Sega Genesis. CGR Art of Fighting review has Art of Fighting Sega Mega Drive review gameplay and Art of Fighting Sega Genesis review gameplay.
I'd never seen this version before… It looks, umm… Okay I guess… But it sounds like s***…
Eh, the SNES version is far more impressive, it's still got the scaling which the MD (unsurprisingly) lacks, but have you seen the PC engine CD version? That one needs the Arcade Card for extra memory, and it makes good use of that with HUGE sprites and really good animations! (And it's also got the scaling!)
Needless to say, both of those versions sound way, WAY better than this as well…
Good review. I like that he is back to reviewing the game instead of just filming himelf while playing it.
Waitting for challenger?
Wait a second, a port from a Neo Geo game to a 16 console… that wasn't made by Takara?
Really miss all the incredible detail that went into these 90s SNK arcade games.
The day-afternoon-night cycles, the facial and clothing damage, the amazing chiptune tracks that stay with you forever.
Just jump kick the CPU to death.
THE WAY THAT YOU PLAY FIGHTING GAMES IS LIKE A COWARD
Nice video.
What happened to the turbo volcano?
Robert Garcia IS pure 90's. More specifically, he is totally early 90's. The ponytail..the vest…the too tight black t-shirt…the loose fitting jeans. The only thing he's missing is a Marky Mark CD.
The arcade version is on the SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1 for the PS2 if (blastprocemy!) you don't own a Genesis/Mega-Drive.
Where's the awesome intro. I loved it lol. Used to follow it verbatim
I have this on SNES. Great visuals, really boring fighting IMO.
This game reminds me of this other game I played back then, but I can't remember the name of it. It was about these people who would fight in the street.
200th like
A sleazy place to enjoy a $15 dollar martini is great, and better with a $20 dollar lap dance.
Your old Intros were amazing
I remember playing the SNES version, or was it NES? I don't remember but it was awesome
It's also on the SNES.
Those voice samples are really really POOR, they could,ve used way better voice quality but yeah those devs were sooo gready to save money on extra cartride space so nope.
The megadrive can do much better quality but because of this,it has a poor reputation of voice sample playback.
There's about 30 seconds of actual review among all this filler
just I said before my friends! Sega genesis & Sega Saturn! is most best for me! than the X box 360;-)
I member playing the Sega Genesis back in the early 90s when I was a kid and to this day it's still in working condition as well as my Sega Master System and Sega CD I had a lot of nostalgic memories playing those games good times were forever had.
Aaaah…….those days… đŸ™‚
Neo geo version way better
Make potato chips out of them ?
Robert GaLica? hahaha…funny.
You can tell they were trying to rip the hell out off Street Fighter.
Try Fatal Fury 2, it's so good, the OST is even better than the original for the sega genesis
MARK IS BACK!!!! YAY!
"I must learn The Art of Fighting so I can become The King of Fighters!"
It's hella fun even losing thogh
I had this game on my SNES and I loved it, way more than SF2 at the time.
