  1. The Gamecube has better graphics, loading times, an infinitely superior controller. The PS2 does have a pretty good game library, but not quite as good as the Gamecube due to the Game Boy Player. I think it's pretty clear which one wins.

  2. Both are very good consoles but I prefer the GameCube. It's a tie between the controllers because I love the GameCube controller as much as the PS2 controller. PS2 was backwards compatible while the GameCube had a separate peripheral to play Game Boy Advance games. GameCube had a Mini disc which allowed games to load quicker while the PS2 disc had better storage capacity.

But where I draw the line is the Exclusive games and third party games. When it comes to exclusives, To me the GameCube is a dominant force in that catergory when you have games like Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Kart Double Dash!!, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, The Mario Party GameCube quadrilogy, Luigi's Mansion, WarioWare Inc. Mega Party Games, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, Legend of Zelda Collector's edition, Soul Caliber 2 with Link, Metroid Prime 1 & 2, Star Fox Assault, Kirby Air Ride, Pokemon Colosseum, Pokemon XD, F-Zero GX, Pikmin 1 & 2, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, Sonic Adventure DX, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, Geist, Eternal Darkness Sanity's Requiem, Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil remake. The Nintendo GameCube in my opinion had some of the best games ever made on a Nintendo system. No Sony exclusives interested me as much as the GameCube exclusives.

The problem is however is that the Nintendo GameCube is missing out on some major third party games such as GTA, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3, Max Payne, Tekken and Silent Hill which is a shame because the GameCube could have been even greater with those games. The GameCube still had Mortal Kombat Deception but still the third party support is sadly lacking, just not as bad as the Wii, Wii U or to a further extent, the Switch.

Still I love my Nintendo GameCube since the day I saw it although I use my Wii more to play GameCube games for the component output and my backwards compatible PS3 lets me play all the PS2 games that I want to play… or emulation via PC.

  3. GameCube is more powerful than PS2, you can see it in the footage with resident evil 4 gameplay. The only reason why the other games look barely better on the PS2 is that the GameCube got a lot of shitty third-party ports that we're not optimized for the GameCube's hardware.

  4. My opinion on who will win was really hard to decide
GameCube: better FPS, a loved controller still being used to this day,
GameCube fails: expensive component cables, only uses mini dvd, no internet connectivity
Ps2: better graphics, Is able to use component at a good price, also a loved controller, for fat models only can use a hard drive, able to have internet connectivity, uses a full size dvd witch meant it was able to hold more data then GameCube mini DVDs
Ps2 fails: blurry graphics, your going to need a 8mb memory card for 3rd party games, frame drops, fat models only loud gpu
And that's all the reasons why I'm still thinking who will be the winner

  5. Well they are really similar in graphics and power….but back then the game cube was better….mainly cuz it was 100$ CHEAPER THAN THE PS2
