Excitebike 64 review on the nintendo 64. Recorded using an Ultra HDMI modded N64 console with an Elgato game capture HD capture card using a real game cartridge.
Does this retro nostalgic game fall into your top 5 or top 10 N64 games? What do you think if the music or soundtrack in the game? Do you prefer this or top gear hyper bike, extreme g, supercross 2000 or road rash? Do you think tony hawks pro skater was the start of all these extreme sports titles being released? So who’s looking forward to the N64 Mini Classic console?

  1. I feel the same way about this one as you Glenn, kinda disappointed with it. My favorite bike racer on the system has to go to road rash 64 just for the hilariously insane crashes that you can pull off.

  2. Man I loved this game, still have it to this day. I can't believe how difficult it was to drive after not playing it for over 15 years.

  3. Man it seems like forever ago since I asked if you were going to review this Glenn. I agree, everything this game does is done correctly but for some reason, it's just not a whole lot of fun to play.

  4. Never liked how Big N bastardized the Excitebike name to shovel this wheelbarrow of licenses masked as a prehistoric Nintendo property. Shows like had little faith and needed some iota of nostalgia to keep people interested in the fading N64 by the 2000s. Top Gear Hyperbike was not without its flaws but far better than what we'd expect from Nintendo first party.

  5. This game was worth it for the soccer mode alone. My friend and I would play that for hours. Maybe I should give that Rocket League game a shot?

  6. Some time ago I got this and wave race 64. Even though Excitebike 64 is technically impressive I found myself enjoying wave race 64 so much more.

  7. N64 Glenn Plant, you have AMAZING content/ Just want to say thanks for all the stuff you have done. I don't even watch tv anymore, just watch your vids most of the time for my enjoyment

  8. While playing this game while your voice over is playing?

I'm just like, "damn it! Ride the hills!" Hate when I see my son play like that lmao. Just knocking the hills instead of riding along with them

  9. Excitebike 64 is an excellent example of how to make a great 3-D game from a 2-D original. Aside from the slightly loose control and steep learning curve, once you've memorized the transitions and mastered the TURBO, your mind will be blown! There is simply no other 3-D motocross game quite like it. Everything else is a MX Unleashed-like sim with pre-load mechanics. This is an arcade masterpiece. A tough game to learn but totally worth the time.

  10. Over the last week I watched this entire 233 video series while working on wood carving. You have a comforting voice and good reviews 🙂 do you have Patreon?

  11. Ah… yes, excitebike 64.
The first n64 game I've ever owned. I find this one to be my top pick for at least the motorcycle racing games…
