MadCatz 3rd party Dreamcast controller on Sonic Adventure


I discovered this a while ago, but never actually put up a video documenting it, aside from a series of tweets from back then.

The MadCatz is a very nice controller and is very grippy and feels much nicer to hold than the standard controller, but unfortunately it can mess pretty badly with the game. I found this to be mostly notable with Amy as this is one of the character I’m most familiar with to play, but this effect is probably also happening with any other character to some degree. The controller appears to have a much higher limit in input on the diagonal axis, and the game allows this input. This results in extreme acceleration in-game when holding diagonal angles
