SEGA Mega Drive Classics Hub

SEGA Mega Drive Classics Hub

The SEGA Mega Drive Classics Hub will be launching on Steam April 28th as a free update & there’s no need to purchase games you already own on Steam to use it!

The new-look system is based on a bedroom of an early nineties SEGA fan with dynamic time-of-day conditions, retro SEGA paraphernalia, a shelf full of MEGA Drive games (including the ones you own) and of course a CRT TV! That’s not all, every single MEGA Drive game will now feature Steam Workshop support allowing you share modified versions of your favourite retro SEGA titles!

In addition to these new features, the new SEGA Mega Drive Hub also includes:
– Spot-on emulation
– Local co-op for games that support it
– Optional graphic enhancement filters
– The ability to save at any point in the gameplay
– Full controller / keyboard support

Check out the complete list of games supported in the new hub:

  1. I know I may sound like an idiot, but when I select Play or Load on any of my games it seems to just go to the blank television screen, is there something I am missing, because I have never seen the part with the cartridge entering the console. Can someone help with that, please?

  2. I got this update and the remaining 28 Genesis games I needed. I bought the new big bundle that also included Sonic CD. I already owned most of those games but I really want the games regardless.

  3. This idea clearly has SteamVR in mind, although if that did happen they'd need to make the TV bigger or reposition the camera so you get a better view of the screen.

Either way I've played S3K on a giant VR screen using VirtualDesktop for my Oculus Rift (I own the original cartridge for S3K by the way) and it is truly incredible.

I was think of modelling a more room like environment for it but ended up making a better VR cinema screen model.

  4. Although I side with Nintendo (which doesn't give a fuck about PC players – me included), I think this is a great idea.

  5. hope you add more games. i have all the current games so far. and maybe think about a master system one? id be a happy camper

  6. i like the Retro vibe, but i am noticing some major emulation slowdowns since this came online, whats up with it?
My pc specs are awesome so its not my pc
